Adaptations resembling the thing they are based on should already be a given. Just being "faithful" by itself is nothing. I don't see a contradiction there.īut ultimately, it comes down to this: You can copy the games as closely as you want, but the movie still has to not suck and it still has to have the elements that made the source material good in the first place.
